Meeting and discussion with representatives of the Supreme Administrative Court and administrative judges from other instances of Germany

On 16 September 2024 a representative delegation of 20 judges of the Federal Administrative Court and other instances of the administrative courts of the Federal Republic of Germany, led by Dr Nina Schmitz, met with the management, some of the scholars and the doctoral students of the Institute for the State and the Law at the BAS. The meeting and discussion were held on the initiative of the German side and took place in the "Ivan Evstratiev Geshov" Hall in the Administration of the BAS.

Prof. Irena Ilieva, PhD, Director of the ISL, presented the history, activities and achievements of the Institute, after which, in a collegial and intensive discussion, our guests were presented with the Institute's expert work in support of state institutions and the supreme courts, as well as topical issues of administrative justice, constitutional and judicial reform, and others in Bulgaria. The meeting was attended by Prof. Nadezhda Yonkova, PhD, Deputy Director of the ISL, Assoc. Prof. Petar Bonchovski, PhD, Scientific Secretary, Prof. Darina Zinovieva, PhD, Prof. Veselina Kanatova-Buchkova, PhD, Assoc. Prof. Mariana Tien, PhD, Chief Assist. Prof. Ognyan Velev, PhD, and doctoral students from the Department of Public Law.
