Prof. Irena Ilieva, PhD – Visiting Professor at the Institute of Advanced International Studies, Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas University, Paris, France

From 18 March 2017 to 28 March 2017, Prof. Irena Ilieva, PhD, Acting Director of the ISL, delivered a course of lectures at the Institute of Higher International Studies, University of Paris 2 Panthéon-Assas, on the topic "The European Dimension of the Protection of Human Rights and the Fight against Terrorism".

The Institute of Higher International Studies was founded in 1921 within the Faculty of Law of the University of Paris and is currently part of the Panthéon-Assas University. Prof. Ilieva was personally invited in 2016 by Prof. Carlo Santulli, Director of the Institute and Editor-in-Chief of the journal "Revue Générale de Droit international public". The course she delivered is part of module U.V.3, devoted to European law, a compulsory part of the programme, which culminates in the award of the Certificate of International Legal Studies (Certificat d'Etudes Juridiques Internationales).

Prof. Ilieva is the first visiting professor from Bulgaria in this field of study.
