Prestigious awards for Aleksandrina Doncheva and Petar Topurov – doctoral students at the ISL

On 15 February 2019, at the Training Centre, awards were presented to the winners of the “Best Publication” competition, announced in connection with the 150th anniversary of the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. In Field IX “Man and Society”, first and second prizes were awarded to doctoral students of the Institute for the State and the Law at BAS.

The first prize was received by Aleksandrina Doncheva, an external doctoral student in Criminal Procedure in the Department of Criminal Law, and the second prize was awarded to Petar Topurov, a full-time doctoral student in Civil and Family Law in the Department of Civil Law. Al. Doncheva’s publication is “Reformatio in pejus or the Prohibition of Worsening the Position of the Defendant in Criminal Proceedings”, published in the journal Legal Thought (issue 2/2017). P. Topurov’s publication is “Performance of a Contract in Favour of a Third Party”, published in the jubilee collection marking 25 years since the establishment of the Faculty of Law of Plovdiv University – “Law: Traditions and Perspectives” (2018).
