National Conference "Ten Years of Membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in the EU – Problems of Harmonisation and Application of EU Law"

Two scientific forums organised by the Institute for the State and the Law at BAS were held at the "Frédéric Joliot-Curie" International House of Scientists near Varna from 15 June 2017 to 18 June 2017 – the National Conference on "Ten Years of Membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in the EU – Problems of the Harmonisation and Application of EU Law" and the 7th National Conference of Doctoral Students in the Field of Legal Sciences. The scientific events were opened by Prof. Irena Ilieva, PhD, Acting Director of the Institute for the State and the Law at BAS.

In addition to eminent Bulgarian scholars in the field of legal sciences, the National Conference "Ten Years of Membership of the Republic of Bulgaria in the EU – Problems of the Harmonisation and Application of EU Law" was attended by internationally recognised experts from abroad – Prof. Władysław Czapliński, PhD, of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and Prof. Sylvain Poillot-Peruzzetto, representing the French Association of Comparative Law, extraordinary adviser at the Court of Cassation of France and university professor.
