Young Afghan Diplomats Undergo Training at the ISL

On 10 November 2017 a training session for young Afghan diplomats was held at the Institute for the State and the Law. It was organised at the request of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Bulgaria. Prof. Irena Ilieva, PhD, Acting Director of the Institute, introduced the group of ten young Afghan diplomats to the history and activities of ISL, and then delivered a lecture with a presentation on "International Human Rights Law. An Introduction". The topic of the training provoked great interest and an intense discussion, which exceeded the time originally agreed. The meeting was attended by Ms Marina Vladimirova of the Diplomatic Institute to the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Assoc. Prof. Todor Koburov, PhD, of the Department of International Law.
