INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE: “Conference on the Occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Organization of the United Nations”

The Institute for the State and Law at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences is organizing a one-day international scientific conference titled “Conference on the Occasion of the 80th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Organization of the United Nations”, which will take place on October 23, 2025 (Thursday) in Sofia, Bulgaria.

The conference is dedicated to the United Nations, the most important universal international organization in the modern world and the main forum for discussing issues of peace, security, cooperation among states and peoples, the protection of human rights, and the resolution of global challenges facing humanity. The UN was established with the entry into force of its Charter on October 24, 1945, a date now celebrated worldwide as United Nations Day.

The purpose of the conference is to bring together scholars, politicians, and public figures to discuss the current state of the organization and the challenges it faces in the future.

Working languages of the conference: Bulgarian and English.

The event will be held in a hybrid format, allowing both in-person attendance and online participation. The in-person sessions will take place in the “Prof. Marin Drinov” Grand Hall at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences.

All papers accepted for presentation at the scientific conference will be published in a special edition, subject to approval by the editorial board.

Participation Fee:
The participation fee for presenters is 100 BGN.

Registration:
A duly completed application form (in accordance with the attached template) must be submitted by September 30, 2025 to the official conference email address: conference.idp@gmail.com.

The following documents must be attached to the application:
- Abstract of the paper in English
- A scanned copy of the payment receipt

All applications will be reviewed by the Organizing Committee. A confirmation email will be sent to applicants whose submissions are approved.
