Ladies and Gentlemen,

On behalf of the Initiative Committee, I invite you to take part in the Conference on Current Issues of Insurance Law, which will be held on 28.11.2014 in Sofia.

The organisers of the conference are: the Bar Council of the Sofia Bar Association, the Institute for the State and the Law at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences and the Chamber of Private Enforcement Agents, with the support of the Supreme Bar Council.

The aim of the conference is a broad discussion of the announced topics in the context of the legal framework, the practice of the courts and the Supreme Court of Cassation in applying it, and a comparative legal review of foreign legislation, with a view to finding a mechanism for resolving the existing contradictions.

- Problems of the legal regulation of the limitation period in insurance relations;

- The limitation period in "Civil Liability" insurance;

- The limitation period, excess in tort and insurance;

- The limitation period in subrogation – application of the special insurance limitation period;

- The problem of the limitation period in contractual liability insurance;

- The problem of the cumulation of "Accident" insurance with other insurance sums and compensation.
