1. Applicants must be citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria, persons officially recognised by Bulgaria as refugees, or foreigners with permanent residence. 2. They must be full-time, part-time or independent doctoral students at BAS throughout the entire period of mobility (the doctoral studies must not be interrupted). 3. Assessment of the motivation letter. 4. Command of the language of the host country or of the language of instruction (English) at level B1 or higher. For this purpose, a European Language Passport (Europass) for self-assessment and copies of language certificates (if any) are to be submitted. A language examination for the purposes of the Programme will be conducted by the Training Centre at BAS. The language level is not decisive; it may be lower at the time of application, after which assistance will be provided in achieving it. 5. Doctoral students who have participated in the programme to date are entitled to apply again, provided that the total number of months does not exceed 12. Priority is given to applicants who have not previously undertaken Erasmus mobility.
A copy of the enrolment order, a motivation letter, a copy of the identity card, language proficiency certificates, and a CV in Europass format are to be submitted together with a covering letter from the institute, a template for which is available on the BAS website (www.bas.bg), by clicking on the logo of the Erasmus+ programme at the bottom left, in the section "For doctoral students".
The same place also provides a list of the Academy's agreements with partner universities, by country and field of knowledge. Doctoral students may apply under any agreement, regardless of whether it was concluded by their own research unit or by another, provided that it is in a suitable field of knowledge; in addition, the consent of the institute that concluded the agreement will be requested.
The mobilities will take place approximately in the period 1 July 2016 – 30 September 2017.
